United Airlines Business and First Class seatsLie Flat and Enjoy 150 Hours of Entertainment on United Airlines
First introduced on the trans-Atlantic routes this extra level of comfort and privacy will be available on Thailand flights at the end of January 2009.
United is racing ahead to convert 111 of its long haul aircraft with new business class seats and first class suites. Lay Flat SeatsUnited Airline’s lay flat seats are just that – lay flat. In both business and first class the seats recline a full 180o to encourage a good sleep. Add to this United’s alliance with Westin Hotels who have designed both pillows and blankets which along with the six-way adjustable head rest make both the business seats and the first suites a mini hotel room United's In-flight EntertainmentUnited’s enhanced entertainment system has a 15 inch screen placed at just the right distance and gives a perfectly clear picture whatever the lighting conditions. The headsets have undergone a makeover and have excellent sound reduction qualities providing superb music and voice reproduction. Then there is the iPod port to re-charge the iPod batteries, a 110 volt power point, a USB connection. The seats in both first and business have a four-way lumbar support function to banish that niggling back ache and the meal tray has been designed to be big enough to fit a laptop computer. United's New MenuPerhaps the only highlights of any long-haul flight are the meals, again United have come up trumps with a brand new menu featuring both local and international cuisine for both upper classes. The wine list too has been given an overhaul by a Master of Wine. United Airlines New First Class SuitesNow the business class two feet wide and six feet five inches long sleeping area provide a level of comfort that is unsurpassed. But the First Class Suites are not just seats but a destination in themselves. The First Class Suite provides a refined travel experience that. Of course the facilities match that of business class but there is far more storage capacity and even a secure tray for spectacles – and that is useful. But more than this United Airline’s First Suites provides meals at the passenger’s discretion and not at the set ‘trolley’ rounds. The entertainment options are impressive too, with 150 hours of on-demand programmes featuring up to the minute feature films, TV programmes, a massive choice of games, 20+ music channels. It is even possible to plug and play personal iPod music and videos through the entertainment system SummaryUnited Airlines New Business and First Class Seats have:
With this new level of comfort and luxury United Airlines are giving the competition a run for their money.
